Virginijus Bakas
Virginijus Bakas is a graphic designer with 32 years of practical work experience. He has worked in advertising agencies, commercial television, Vilnius Academy of Arts. Currently he is a freelance designer, lecturer.
His artworks were created for His Excellency President Valdas Adamkus, prima ballerina Maja Pliseckaja and composer Rodionas Ščedrinas, maestro Saulius Sondeckis, Eimuntas Nekrošius and the theater groupMeno Fortas, Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater, maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius and Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, ballet-dancer Egle Špokaitė, opera singer Sigute Stonyte and many others.
Transformation of a drawn symbol into a functional font.

During the workshop will be shown how to convert your created characters into a functional font, using Adobe software (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator) in a minutes.
Listeners, who in one form or another have their own symbols created in the workshops of other lecturers, will have the opportunity not only to observe how the symbol becomes an element of a functional font, but also to participate in the process of creating a new font.
